Akshay: Suniel, Irrfan & Bobby are great threesome

view THANK YOU videos
For Akshay Kumar, it was a party time out there while shooting for THANK YOU. Though the film has three leading ladies (Sonam Kapoor, Celina Jaitley, Rimi Sen) and a siren in the form of Mallika Sherawat, it was an all-men gang comprising of Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Irrfan Khan and Suniel Shetty which indulged in a lot of 'masti' and 'dhamaal', more so since their characterisation allowed them to let loose.

Says Akshay, "They have done a superb imitation of playing typical average man's motto of 'One woman just isn't enough'. The way they convince their wives is hilarious and that's where I come in. I am like the Indo-Canadian marriage detective here; I set up men so their partners can catch them doing what only dirty doggies do."

Even as the film is boasting of a quartet of men here, one wonders that in an Akshay Kumar starrer, how much do audiences really get to see the other three actors?

Abhay Deol to act in a Zombie Film

India will soon have its own 'Zombie Film', a cult film genre that has not been attempted extensively by Indian filmmakers so far. It is titled SHAADI OF THE DEAD and will star Abhay Deol who will play a Zombie.

The actor-star has the penchant to venture into uncharted and untried territories. The film is being developed by iRock. Sidhartha Jain, the CEO of the Company, announced this while participating in a panel discussion on 'Market Research for Indian Cinema: Gut Feel vs. Market Realities' on the second day of FICCI FRAMES 2011, an annual convention of the media and entertainment industry. Zombie films in the west have a cult following and some of the top-notch directors like Danny Boyle have attempted this genre. It is not that Indians have not had a taste of such films. Most of the Ramsey Brothers' horror movies can be categorised as softer and less surreal versions of regular Zombie fare. Zombies are dead people, who are reanimated as mindless and disfigured creatures. These films are pure fantasies and are characterized by free flowing blood and gore, and extreme kind of unappetizing and mindless mayhem.

Priyanka Chopra has a handful of projects in her kitty

Priyanka Chopra’s ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ could not get the cash registers ringing at the box office.
However, her performance has been appreciated by all. Her next release would be ‘Don 2’ which still has months to go before it hits the screens, but the actress does not mind the waiting period and had taken a holiday abroad after the release of ‘Saat Khoon Maaf’ to give a break to her grueling schedules. It may be recalled here that in the year 2008 she had six mega releases all lined up one after another namely, Love Story 2050, God Tussi Great Ho, Chamku, Drona, Fashion, and Dostana. “People do ask me that since there is such a wide gap between ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ and ‘Don 2′ (which would release on Christmas this year), is a long waiting period hovering in my mind? Well, the answer is ‘not at all’. It is okay because sometimes one full year gone by when you have absolutely no releases in a year. This way I am at least starting and ending a year with a film of mine,” smiles Priyanka.
“In any case as an actor you can’t really plan your releases. Sometimes it is too little, at times too much,” she adds.
At present, Priyanka is busy with the shoot of a couple of films, all of which are promising enough. “Shooting of ‘Agneepath’ (co-starring Hrithik Roshan) has already started. Soon I would be kick starting ‘Barfee’ (with Ranbir Kapoor) which would be followed by ‘Krrish 2′ (with Hrithik again) in September. That should be some exciting work for an entire year. Then I can sit back and see each of these films release one after another,” smiles Priyanka.
